Student Minds Cambridge is the Cambridge branch of Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity (studentminds.org.uk). We empower students and members of the university community to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. You can find more information on our website: studentmindscambridge.co.uk. We also have a Student Support Guide: findsupportcam.com.

Day-to-day, Student Minds Cambridge campaigns to raise awareness of mental health issues among students, liaises with the university to improve support for students with mental illness, and runs events and creates resources to aid student welfare.

Our blog, ‘Speak Your Mind’, is one aspect of this. The focus is on authenticity – we don’t want to shy away from talking about the reality of mental health issues, but it is also really important to us to look at positive stories – overcoming struggles, finding coping mechanisms, and sharing advice.
